Nelson S. Haws
Founder and CEO, LendGenuity
Nelson has over 30 years of mortgage banking experience as President and CEO of numerous mortgage origination platforms, as a seller/servicer/MBS issuer for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae, as well as 10+ years of experience issuing and servicing private label MBS. Serving as a member of the SILs Team for Standard and Poors in 2007, Nelson was instrumental in helping re-package and securitize non-performing mortgage assets during and after the credit crisis. Nelson developed his loan origination software system known today as LendGenuity over a span of two decades marked by heavy regulation and record high origination volumes. Nelson designed LendGenuity as an all digital loan origination platform (LOS) built for mortgage professionals and empowering borrowers with a Point-of-Sale solution (POS) with all the functionality necessary to fulfill the mortgage origination process. As a logical next step, Nelson began to look for ways to leverage the power of the LendGenuity system. Today, the software serves as both the SAAS platform for LendGenuity and the operating system for Block+Sovrin. Nelson graduated with a B.S. from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification from the University of Miami School of Business. Nelson is a former college athlete and served as a Guardian Ad Litum for many years in Florida. Nelson is a big supporter of volunteer and philanthropic work.
